Daria Domnikova is a Toronto-based illustrator, graphic designer, and muralist. After making a leap of faith and immigrating to Canada to pursue her dream of becoming a full-time illustrator, she earned her Bachelor of Design degree in Illustration from OCAD University and since then has collaborated with various Canadian and international editorial publications, local and international businesses and organizations, and non-profits. Some of the collaborators she’s had the pleasure of working with over the past 7+ years of her creative practice include The Globe and Mail, The City of Toronto, STEPS Public Art, The University of Toronto, Toronto Public Library, StreetARToronto and Fred Victor.
Daria’s work is deeply informed by the world around her: the buzz of the city, community, movement, nature and how we relate to one another. With the aim to visually represent diverse communities and the joy of living, Daria creates vibrant, compelling, playful and sophisticated visual narratives. As a people-oriented creative Daria makes human connection and trust the axis of her work and brings clear communication, collaborative spirit and a healthy dose of good humour to her projects.
When Daria is not busy stretching her creative muscles she stretches her legs at the ballet barre.
